Always a good sitting posture for everybody

The way we work has changed tremendously in recent years. The office has become a gathering place. Be by Beta wanted to bring to the market the most sustainable and circular office chair of the moment that, just by adjusting the height, immediately sits properly and comfortably regardless of the person sitting on it.

A new mechanism in recycled material

To this end, we have developed a mechanism that allows the posture of the user to automatically provide the correct back pressure in the chair. The design of the chair focuses on user comfort and support by effectively distributing weight and ensuring comfort in any sitting position. The chair’s “human-feel” material in the seat and backrest further enhances immediate comfort.

Raw materials from waste flows

The raw materials for the components of this chair come from waste streams. The seat and back are made from 100% recycled PET bottles and the frame is made from 100% upcycled polyamide (nylon). The latter is unique. A new, strong and 100% pure polyamide has been made from old residual plastics. Except for the cross base and gas spring, the chair is made entirely from recycled materials.
The parts are easy to disassemble, repair and recycle into new 100% recycled PET and PA pellets. The chairs are returned after their useful life after which the parts are reused. The chair has residual value guarantee after its 1st or 2nd lifetime. This means that no new raw materials are needed. Partly because of this, this chair has a very low footprint.

The favorite aspect of this chair is its simplicity. The fact that you sit down, operate one button and it automatically goes right. The logic of simplicity.

An innovative production process

In collaboration with the client, the mould manufacturer, the supplier and the producer of the materials, a technological marvel has been developed with an innovative production process for the frame of this office chair. The process is called gas injection moulding.
