User interface design and graphic design
We place both the market and the user at the heart of what we do. That is the starting point for meaningful innovation. The focus for every product development project is on optimal user experience and product experience. Product design (3D design) always contains graphic elements (2D aspects). Over the years, our agency has gained a lot of knowledge and expertise in both areas. Every product is an expression of our clients’ brand. This is something a client needs to handle in a smart way. We like to contribute ideas around brand image, branding and user interaction. A clear and easy-to-understand interface makes life a lot more pleasant and a product many times more attractive. This may involve classic operation with buttons, an app or a touchscreen.
UI design starts by analysing the interaction and behaviour of intended users. Using research techniques such as context mapping, we map out the customer journey. In this process, we work with real users. We use the gained insights to improve and modify the interaction. Later, we translate these insights into concepts for menu structure and graphic layout. Presenting simulations to potential users is embedded in the routine of our design process, leading to optimisation of the interaction with the interface.
User research and user testing
Usage research and user testing take place at a very early stage, sometimes with cardboard models and mock-ups. This often provides valuable information that we use to implement further optimizations in the UI design. Early usage evaluation is valuable when introducing your service or product. We also offer support here. We set up user studies with which we test and optimize critical elements of use at an early stage.
Graphic design
npk design has its own graphics team. Whether it concerns digital or analogue expressions, our expertise in the field of graphic user interfaces, animations, info graphics, brand communication, manuals and packaging is often of great added value in innovation projects.
