Product development is about inventing
Helpsoq
Compression stocking machines for wearers and carers
Every day, more than 300,000 people need compression stockings, often with the help of others. For Helpsoq, we have developed a solution that allows stockings to be put on easily without any effort.
Autonomy and control of daily routine
The Helpsoq machine gives clients more control by putting on stockings independently, without waiting for home care. For care staff this means less physical strain and time savings, allowing more attention to be paid to other care tasks.
In a team of designers, engineers and model makers we have built many models in our workshop via the route brainstorming, inventing, experimenting and prototyping to test different operating principles. Based on these simplified models the patentable basic principle has been realized.
Challenges and ergonomic limitations
When developing an easy-to-use solution for compression stockings, we discovered how much force is needed to put them on. The idea of a ring was quickly conceived, but finding the right size proved difficult: large enough for the stocking, but also suitable for less flexible feet. We found the perfect balance between stretching and putting them on in a skin-friendly way, thanks to extensive ergonomic knowledge and testing.

Without strength or agility
The Arm Extender works together with the HelpSoq, especially for people who cannot bend forward enough. This allows you to put on support stockings easily, without strength or dexterity, in just a few minutes. The set is designed for complete independence from home care, so that users can decide for themselves when to get up and put on their stockings. In addition, this solution is fully reimbursed by the insurer.
